Deborah Boland is a successful Canadian independent television producer specializing in lifestyle programming. Since launching Boland Productions in 1994, Deborah has produced several impressive series.

Her current project is BACKYARD PLEASURES, a beautiful 55-part gardening series. The show celebrates outdoor living and provides inspirational ideas for making the most out of your backyard. Deborah also hosts the series, which airs in Canada on HGTV and throughout Europe via UPCtv. BACKYARD PLEASURES has also aired on SCN and CKY in Canada, NHK in Japan and SABC in South Africa.

Prior to BACKYARD PLEASURES, Deborah produced GOLF THE WORLD. This 26-episode, upscale golf and travel series made its debut on TSN in 1996. GLOBAL Television and PRIME aired a second season in 97/98. It has also been seen on the Travel Channel in the U.S.A., on Canada’s Men’s Channel and on numerous international specialty channels.

In 1995 Deborah produced and hosted one of LIFE Network's first original series called ALL YOU CAN BE. The 22 episodes included inspirational celebrity interviews, relationship advice, fashion and fitness tips.

Deborah has also appeared as a Style expert on Life Network's daily shows, REAL LIFE, FOR THE ASKING - Design Day, and on CTV's LIFETIME. She has hosted numerous other t.v. specials, infomercials and news programs.

Prior to starting her own company Deborah was a producer for such top Canadian programs as, THE DINI PETTY SHOW, SHIRLEY, CITYLINE, LIFETIME, EYE ON TORONTO, and SHOWBUZ.

She holds an honours degree in Broadcast Journalism from Ryerson University and has won broadcasting awards from CBC, City-TV and Rogers Communications.

Deborah enjoys new challenges and the chance to stretch her comfort zone. Travelling, entertaining, fashion, decorating, inspirational stories, and family time are her passions in life.
